Retro Stripes Blanket
This bold and playful blanket pattern is a great introduction to intarsia colourwork. It was inspired by a popular quilting pattern, and is a great way to get that same look without all the sewing! Combine complimentary colours to suit your décor, or go for high-contrast stripes for that retro vibe.
You will need:
Yarn: Lion Brand Hue + Me (Bulky (5), 80% acrylic/20% wool, 251 yds/230m, 142g), six colours total, approx. 1125 yds/1029m of Main and 110yds/101m of each contrast colour:
• Main: Werewolf – 9 skeins
• A: Marine – 1 skein
• B: Bellini – 1 skein
• C: Mustard – 1 skein
• D: Agave – 1 skein
• E: Love Song – 1 skein
Hook: US N/10mm hook (or size needed to meet gauge)
Notions: measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle
Finished Measurements: 50”/127cm wide x 62”/157cm long
The pattern is available for free on the Capital Crochet blog, or as a premium, ad-free PDF pattern. A Lion Brand kit is also available.
