Retrospin
Retrospin is a very small shawlette that has been designed to take advantage of any gauge of handspun yarn without using a lot of yardage. Please note that the sample just barely wraps around the shoulders once. Instructions are provided in the pattern for making a longer shawlette if desired. The design is infinitely customizable to meet your tastes, spinning, and yardage. It is knit from the bottom up using a simple garter stitch lace pattern and short row shaping to create a crescent shawlette. The garter stitch pattern helps to reduce biasing in a spun single and also means you won’t have to pick up the wraps from the short rows. Oh, and did I mention there’s not a single purl stitch in the entire pattern?
This is an extremely quick and very easy pattern and is suitable for an adventurous beginner through the seasoned expert.
Stitches used:
knit
