When the need for a cardigan is ‘timely’ or ‘rettidig’, it’s here: A basic cardigan with deep raglan and small details.
“Rettidig” is a short oversized cardigan worked top-down in garter stitch, starting with an I-cord. The I-cord is used for picking up stitches for the neckline. Afterward, a deep raglan with I-cords is worked before the body and sleeves are divided. The sleeve stitches are placed on hold, while the body is knit in garter stitch. The hem is worked with smaller needles. The sleeves are worked flat (one at a time) and worked with I-cords and decreases to the cuff. The cuff is worked with decreases and I-cords like “nerves in the middle of a leaf”.
The finished measurement around the waist is XS: 89cm/35.75”(S: 94cm/37.75”, M: 101cm/40.25”, L: 107.5cm/43”, XL: 116cm/46.25”, 2XL: 125cm/50”)
Approx yarn estimate: 1350m/1476yds (1400m/1531yds, 1500m/1640yds, 1600m/1749yds, 1750m/1913yds, 1900m/2077yds) Anina by Filcolana, 4 ply, 100% superwash merino wool yarn, 210m/230yds per 50g/1.76 ounces
The pattern is suitable for a large range of fingering weight yarns. You could choose a yarn with linen or cotton content, or a natural woolen yarn would be very suitable, too. Be aware that yarn with a content of alpaca, silk will grow more than a natural yarn.
A big thank you to my testers: you have worked beautiful versions and to SueCat for tech edit
