Reverb is a three-color double knit baby hat, with different color work patterns on either side of the fabric, also known as non-mirrored double knitting. It is sized for children approximately 6 – 12 months old.

Required tools:
• US 2 (2.75mm) needles – dpns, circs, or magic loop will all work fine, so choose your desired technique. A single 16” circular needle works well for the body of the hat, but you will need to switch to two circs, magic loop, or dpns for the decreases in the crown.
• Cable needle for decreases

Recommended yarn: Three different contrasting colors (called A, B, and C in this pattern) of fingering/sock yarn.

A couple notes about the charts:
• There are three charts shown in this pattern. You can use the Front and Back charts together, but you will need to follow both charts simultaneously, alternating between the two with every stitch. Or you can use the Combined chart to work both sides of the fabric without needing to follow two charts. The final patterns are more apparent on the Front and Back charts, but the Combined chart is probably easier to work with. Do what works best for you.
• All decreases in the crown are centered double decreases. You will need to adjust the stitches on your needles so that all three knit stiches are together before executing the decrease on the knit side, followed by the purl side. Use a cable needle to hold the purl stitches while decreasing on the knit side, then put them back on your working needles to decrease on the purl side.

Note: the pattern download has some slight modifications (improvements) to the colorwork in the decrease sections of the crown when compared to the prototype featured in the pattern photos.
