Although made and written originally for Mint sample bulky weight size 5 yarn with a K 6.5mm hook. Size 4 medium weight yarn works wonderfully in Brown sample drop hook size to H/ 5mm.

The magic comes when you fold the beanie hat band it matches the puff stitches in the body hat!

Classic puff stitch used. Simple increases used as for any hat worked. I call it the 1,2,3,4 increases.

The beanie hat band is done in reverse adds extra warmth and cozyness to this awesome bulky weight yarn called Scarfie by Lion Brand Yarn.

Beginner friendly! super simple to do, this was my 1st puff stitch crochet it is that simple to do!
