This cotton blanket features an original stitch pattern that makes it fully reversible (in that both sides are identical), so either side can be used randomly. It is an easy and meditative knit that uses only knit and purl stitches, so is suitable for an absolute beginner knitter. It features a garter stitch border with a central pattern of diamonds in three textured stitches (garter, stocking and reverse stocking stitch). An easy method to give beautiful, neat edge stitches is included. The blanket is knitted in one piece.

It is suitable for a baby, adult bed cover or throw.

The blanket is worked in aran weight cotton, making it soft, drapey and quick to work up. The result is a cosy, soft blanket that is machine washable and will look new for decades.

The pattern is fully written out, but a chart is also included for optional use. The pattern repeat consists of 22 rows, 10 of which are plain knit rows.

10 sizes are included: 4 baby sizes (large cot, small cot, bassinette/stroller and receiving blanket), a throw rug and 5 adult bed sizes (single bed, double bed and queen bed, in UK, Australian and US standard sizes). The bed versions are designed to fully cover the top of the respective bed size.
