This pattern is an adaptation of the Christmas at Sea “Seafarer’s Scarf” (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/seafarers-scarf) to include a reversible double cable. The reversible cable and seed stitch are adapted from “While Watching British Mysteries on Netflix” published by Wildwood Press in 2013. The scarf is designed to be compact and functional under a jacket to meet the needs of those who work at sea. The ribbed center portion helps retain heat around the neck and the wider ends lay flat to keep the chest warm.

Finished size is approximately 6 x 46 inches.

Materials: Approximately 300 yds. of worsted weight yarn; stitch markers; cable needle, tapestry needle

Needles: U.S. size 7

Gauge: 20 sts. and 27 rows = 4”
