This beautiful christmas stocking starts with a very pretty picot hem, with different aran cable patterns on each side. The one side of the stocking uses horseshoe cables which look like vertically stacked hearts, while the other side features twisted stitches that resemble stylized pine trees. As a special note, some of my test knitters added extra rows to the hem, so that they could swiss darn a name onto the cuff of the stocking.
The gauge swatch should be worked with the size 7 needle.
The finished size of the stocking is 6”W x 19” cuff to toe. For a larger or smaller stocking reduce yarn weight and needle sizes. Special note the cuff should be working in a needle 2 sizes smaller than the needle used to obtain desired gauge.

This Pattern was edited to correct the flare at the cuff, to taper the leg and changes were made to the heel to help the foot hang flatter. I’ve included new photos to illustrate the changes that have been made to the pattern.
