This is a reversible cowl with dodos front and back on the outside and a Douglas Adams quote on the inside: “It’s easy to think that as a result of the extinction of the dodo, we are now sadder and wiser, but there’s a lot of evidence to suggest we are merely sadder and better informed,” which I felt captured the issue of mass species extinction which threatens us today.

It is a colourwork cowl worked in the round using a 3-ply/superfine/fingering weight yarn.

You will need 2 colours - around 50 g/ 287 m/ 314 yards/ of each shade.

I used a 2.25 mm / US size 1 / UK 13 circular needle.

The finished cowl is 27 cm (10.5 inches) tall and 59 cm (23 inches) in circumference.
