VIDEO TUTORIAL: I made video tutorials on of how to do the Reversible Intarsia Cabling (“RIC”) both WITH and withOUT a cabling needle on YouTube here:
https://youtu.be/ujQYenBCEQw?si=iY4ucJr1NcvRsP2L

I also posted a super similar pattern (and also free) pattern for super bulky yarn that I think has better written instructions on the RICs.

Pattern has been updated based on feedback (and will continue to be updated) as needed. If you have an old version that says k2tgtbl, change it to p2tgtbl.

Don’t worry about gauging too much since its a scarf, as long as you’re using Bulky yarn and US 9 needles it’ll be fine

Needs very little of the contrast colors. 1 skein of each contrast color should suffice.

Contains instructions for both working it with a cable needle and without a cable needle, but have not figured out how to make instructions for left-handed knitters yet.

Was determined to fit it all on 1 page, but will adjust depending on feedback (which I am open to).

Only the cables are intarsia, the main color is all one strand that runs in front of contrast purls and behind contrast knits.

Edges are Icord, so make sure you pull the yarn tight for the first stitch of each row that will follow the 3 slips of the prior row.
