This scarf has reversible intarsia cables (“RIC”), so there’s no wrong side as the sides mirror each other. No need to worry about which side is showing. Nor is there any fear of the wind whipping it around and exposing a less detailed side!

The scarf is worked in garter stitch while doing the RICs. In addition to the typed instructions, I have video demos of how I did the RICs on my YouTube below.

Yardage of yarn needed for an 88 inch scarf (and if using Malabrigo Rasta):
160 yards Main Color (Solis)
60 yards Contrast Color 1 (Immortal)
60 yards Contrast Color 2 (Aquamarine)

If you want to use Chunky yarn, see my other free pattern (that one has an icord edge though).
(Still working on a similar pattern using DK yarn, but that one might be a buck or two)

I recommend doing the crochet cast on method using an L hook (8.00 mm).

HAS been tested! : )
