Reversible Mood Changing Octopus
This is my pattern for my reversible mood changing Octopus! The yarn that I used, I used two skeins, both in a different color. Yarn was a 4 weight/Aran weight. One colour for one body, another colour for the other body. I also used a very small amount of black to embroider the faces. I used Patons Canadiana but you can use any 4 weight/Aran weight yarn of your choice. If you use a thinner weight or a thicker weight it will change the size of the octopus and you will have to change your hook size accordingly. I used a 3.5mm clover hook, a sharp and a blunt yarn sewing needle. Scissors and 9mm safety eyes. I also highly suggest using a lighter to burn the backs of the safety eyes. This will make sure that the eyes do not shift every time you flip it. This will also make it nice and comfy for little hands to flip the toy. Plus, the eyes will never ever come out. So I do highly recommend doing this so you will need a lighter and a flat metal object to do this. I used a butter knife. If you do not want to do this just know that the eye backs can move sideways, up ways, down ways, all ways and will need to be adjusted every flip. I do include a inside patch in my pattern but even with the patch I still recommend doing it. All supplies needed are listed in my pattern. So I guess that’s it for description… I hope you enjoy the pattern! :) ;)
