This is a reversible cowl with an Octopus on the outside and a Terry Pratchett quote on the inside: “The Kraken stirs and ten billion sushi dinners cry out for vengeance”. I based this motif on my popular octopus sweater design after a number of knitters asked for something a bit smaller and quicker to complete than an entire sweater.

It is a colourwork cowl worked in the round using a 3-ply/superfine/fingering weight yarn.

You will need 2 colours - around 50 g/ 287 m/ 314 yards/ of each shade.

I used a 2.25 mm / US size 1 / UK 13 circular needle.

The finished cowl is 25 cm (10 inches) tall and 56 cm (22 inches) in circumference.
