Reversible Winter Star Hat
This is the companion pattern to my “Reversible Winter Star Socks” - a hat with a variation on the color scheme worked for the socks. Like the socks, this hat is double-knit in a worsted-weight yarn for extra warmth, which means no stranding is necessary to work this cheery star pattern, finished with a sprinkling of snowy motifs on the crown! Fully reversible, quick and satisfying to knit, this hat will keep you warm all winter long.
New to double-knit? Not to worry - this pattern includes detailed instructions for everything from the provisional cast-on to decreasing in double-knit. The simple shaping makes it an ideal first double-knit project.
Sizing note: The pattern is written for one size only, but is stretchy enough to fit everyone preteen to adult. Working the pattern in a different combination of yarn and needles would alter it enough to suit even smaller sizes.
