This hat was developed for Yarnfolk Festival of Wool at Whitehead 2019. I wanted a hat that was a simple introduction to Fair Isle/ colourwork for those who wanted to give it a go but also to provide a warm, wool based, cosy hat for the Revive Charity who make and donate hats etc. to people who are homeless. Fair Isle is perfect for this as it gives a double thickness fabric and if knitted in pure wool will be extra warm and cosy.

It is knitted in the round – I used Magic Loop but you could use a 40 cm circular and/or Double Pointed Needles.
