This pattern works well with super chunky yarn or DK held triple. You can also scale it up or down, if you change hook sizes. Really, it’s just a simple bag - both versatile & obliging! :)

I think this makes the base sturdier and the pattern easier to follow.

I think I’ve also figured out why there was some confusion with the original draft - the base is a rectangle so it depends on which way round you work it! But I’ve clarified the pattern directions & added a note to explain where the handles begin, so it shouldn’t matter where you start now.
