It should be easy for beginners and fast and mindless for an advanced knitter.

Required techniques: garter stitch, yarn over, yarn over twice, knit two together, slip slip knit, make one right, knit two together through the back loop, Lacey bind off (explained in the pattern).
The pattern includes complete written directions and also a chart for the lace.
Gauge:
21 sts and 31 rows= 4 inches in garter stitch using US #6/4mm needle.
