Rhinoceros Granny Square
This rhinoceros granny square is approximately 20 cm x 20 cm (8.15” x 8.15”), and can be used as a component for crocheted items such as a blanket or cushion cover. The square can be used repeatedly, or with others. This is the seventeenth and final of my ‘South African animal’ granny squares…BUT keep your eyes open for my next pattern, which will be a blanket using all of the South African animal granny squares. (This pattern will be available to purchase at a discounted rate, as opposed to purchasing each individual animal granny square.)
It can also be framed framed and hung on a wall, as home décor - ideal in a nursery, or a child’s bedroom.
The pattern (written in US terms) calls for DK yarn in five colours (grey, lime green, black, dark grey, and pale grey), and a 4.00 mm crochet hook is used throughout. In total, the approximate yardage is 56 m (61 yds).
The only additional material required is a darning needle, with which to weave in the ends.
NB: Make sure to take a look at my other 16 South African animal granny square patterns (available for $2 each), and also my South African Safari Blanket eBook, which is a bundle containing the patterns for all 17 animals - for the discounted price of only $10!
