This is a perfect sweater for someone who is trying to switch from English to Continental knitting. It is almost entirely k1, p1. Its absolutely simple shape makes it easy to add or subtract a few stitches to make it larger or smaller. The swirls are a lot easier to work than looking at the chart might suggest. There’s a lot of embroidery since 2 rows of stem stitch are worked in each rib. While this looks elegant, a crochet chain or fly stitch could be substituted.
