Rhumb Line Sweater
DETAILS
A fun top down in the round contiguous design with faux saddle shoulders. This sweater is designed to be quite fitted and throughout gives options for customization – whether it’s for shoulders, sleeves, bust or length. Designed to help you knit this for the best possible custom fit.
The stitch pattern here is 1x1 colorwork. No brioche and very little ribbing.
Suitable for knitters who have some basic experience with colorwork.
GAUGE
23 sts & 21 rows for 4”/10 cm in 1x1 colorwork (K1MC, K1CC) on US7/4.5mm needles.
FIT & SIZE
This garment is to be made to sit just off your shoulders for a slim silhouette. The body of the sweater is to follow your lines without clinging or pulling. For this I would suggest an ease of 0 to +4” or 0 to +10 cm of your bust size or whatever you are most comfortable wearing.
Size 1 = 34”/86 cm, Size 2 = 38”/96.5 cm, Size 3 = 42”/106.75 cm, Size 4 = 46”/117 cm, Size 5 = 50”/127 cm, Size 6 = 54”/137 cm, Size 7 = 58”/147 cm, Size 8 = 62”/157.5 cm. Sizes based on finished bust circumference.
Sample shown in size 2.
