The character, that ‘Rhymes with Pulverine’, is knitted in 4 colours, black, light peach, blue and yellow. The colours and yarn choices are not important however choose yarn of the same weight for an even result.

Unless you are a very tight knitter use 1 needle size below the yarn label recommendation. This will ensure that the stuffing won’t show through once completed.

Although some pieces are knitted flat; the arms, legs and body are knitted in the round using a set of 5 double-pointed-needles, but a circular needle (and magic loop method) could be easily substituted if preferred.

The following techniques are used within this pattern:

Provisional cast on (on the head only)

German Short Rows Short row Intarsia (this is for the 6 black claws/stripes on the torso)

Picking up stitches around the soles of the feet

Thumb gussets on the hands

Small areas of kitchener stitch (to finish the hands and to close the body after stuffing). If you prefer use a different joining method.
