Like the rock for which it’s named, the Rhyolite Hat features a fascinating combination of textures, from the smooth, linked-stitch crown to the cushiony, crystalline-looking star stitch band accented with drop stitches. Wear it inside out for a totally different look!

For best appearance, choose a solid, tonal, or lightly speckled yarn. An inline hook with pointed tip will help with working into tight spaces and making evenly-sized star stitches.

Pattern includes written instructions for worsted weight and dk weight versions, plus charts and link to a video tutorial that covers the special stitches and techniques used.
