Rhys
“In Torchwood, Rhys is the stalwart and dependable partner of Gwen Cooper. Warm, textured, and with surprising depth, this shawl is meant to reflect his character.
Rhys is knit from the top down with lace stitches on every row. Initially forming a shallow crescent, short rows are used to deepen it into an elongated triangle“
The medium size blocks out to approximately 52” across the top ad 21” down the center back. Blocked dimensions for the large size will vary depending on how many chart repeats you work.
The medium size uses one skein exactly, the large uses one and a half to two skeins depending on how many chart repeats you work.
Gauge is not critical so long as the fabric is loose and open. I tend to knit to gauge on patterns, erring on the loose side occasionally. If you tend to knit tight, go up 1-2 needle sizes. If you tend to knit loose, go down 1-2 needle sizes.
Torchwood and it’s characters are the property of the BBC.
