This is a free pattern available here and it comes with a video companion (not so much a tutorial, more of a ‘knit with me’) available here.

The Sirdar Jewelspun yarn does all the hard work so this is my favourite simple rib put together with my favourite gathered crown with the option of to bobble or not to bobble.

Any 100g of aran weight yarn will work with this pattern. The bobble version weighs 80g and the non-bobble version 65g.

You will also need 4.5mm, 40cm circular needles.

The pattern is currently in one size which fits most adult-sized heads, my nine year old daughter thinks it fits her too but I hope to make a slightly smaller version soon so watch this space.

As the pattern is both free and super simple it hasn’t been tested or tech edited, let me know if you encounter any problems and I will include errata (or update the written pattern) here.
