Rib-It! A Sampler Throw, Part 1
I love rib patterns! They are so squishy and textured, and there are so many beautiful variations. I’ve been collecting rib patterns off and on for a long time, thinking what a great sampler blanket they would make.
Rib-It! A Knit Sampler Throw will be arriving in 2017 in several parts. The patterns range in skill level from easy to advanced, and I plan to publish them in groups according to skill level.
This is the first collection, the easiest. I’ll offer one of the block patterns for free pattern on my blog each month in 2017. (I’m aiming for the first day of each month. Wish me luck!) You can make just the freebie, or you can buy each collection as soon as it’s available (instant gratification!).
Here’s the link for the first free pattern in this series:
Directions are written for 8” blocks; info on how to adapt for larger or smaller blocks is included.
You will need about 100 yards of worsted weight yarn for each 8” block. I used #7 needles and Plymouth Encore Worsted for the samples shown, but any worsted will do delightfully.
Happy knitting and Happy New Year!
