This hat was inspired by the hat worn by a character in the TV show Life Unexpected

It features an invisible cast on, but aside from the cast on, the basic hat is Knitting 101--1 X 1 Ribbing, and garter stitch.
The hat is knit flat and seamed, and trimmed with a buttoned tab and pompom.
