This large barrel shaped basket has tubular ribs that make for a sturdy frame once felted. Make it a single color, opt for color blocks, or chose cheerful stripes as in the example! Complete instructions are provided for knitting and felting the basket in either a washer or a dryer. A bonus pattern is included to knit a trivet (see last photo).

MATERIALS:

Yarn: Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Worsted; 17 skeins (1830 yds)

Note: The basket in the sample was knit as a stash buster with multiple colors of yarn changing colors for each rib.

Notions: Scissors, tapestry needle, stitch markers, fiberfill for shaping, and washing machine or dryer for felting
