This pattern is a simple variation of the standard sock pattern for the hand. It is a great project for the beginning knitter who is afraid of double-point needles or socks. Make a pair of these and you’ll be ready to try your first pair of socks. The pattern also includes instruction for adding beads to the cast on and cast off. Almost any sock yarn will do and gauge is not too important as the rib pattern will stretch to fit most hands. One ball of sock yarn (approx. 200 yards) can yield one pair of gloves if you are careful with the length, and one nice, long pair can be made from a larger ball of sock yarn with some yarn left over. The model is knit in Classic Elite’s “Summer Sox.” Have fun!
