This pattern will work with most fingering (sock) weight yarns; I’ve tried it with many different yarns of this weight and I’ve never had to adapt the pattern.

The yardage that will be required for this project depends on how high you want the socks to be; knee-high socks will require more yarn than ankle-high socks.
