MATERIALS:
- short circular needles 40 cm 3 mm (16” US 2.5);
- additional short circular needles 40 cm 2-3 mm (16” US 0 – US 2,5) for temporary storage of “live” stitches when knitting a waistband;
- circular needles 80 cm 3 mm (32” US 2.5);
- double-pointed needles (2 pieces) 3 mm (US 2.5);
- markers;
- tape measure;
- tapestry needle
- crochet hook 2-3 mm (US 1-3).
(We use crochet hook to create a crocheted chain. Because we use the chain stitch method to pick up “live” stitches)
MAIN LEGGINGS PATTERN:
Main leggings pattern – 3x1 ribbing (K3, P1).
GAUGE OF MAIN LEGGINGS PATTERN:
26 stitches х 32 rows = 10x10 cm (4x4”) for knitting 3x1 ribbing on 3 mm (US 2.5) needles after blocking.
YARN:
160-190 m (170-210 yds) in 50 g (1.75 oz) for merino wool yarn, merino wool + alpaca yarn.
