Ribbed Rabbit
Unlike most crochet toys, this little rabbit is worked back and forth in rows around a single foundation chain. I’ve worked into the back loops for a ribbed texture. The pattern has several pieces that are whip stitched together to form the rabbit.
The pattern has 2 PDF to download
I’ve used Stylecraft double-knit (DK) yarn with 4.00 mm hook but it also works up beautifully in a worsted weight w/ appropriate hook… although it will be bigger.
The pictured toy requires 2 colors. (Body and belly) as well as .5 yard of pink for the nose and tongue detail.
The toy can be constructed with one color.
Safety eyes should be used for children. I used a few 1 cm beads from another project. Embroidery would also be appropriate.
Crochet gauge is not applicable in this toy
I’ve used sc blo, dc, hdc and short rows.
Whip stitches for construction.
Somewhat ADVANCED PROJECT.
Assumes you know the basic stitches required.
