Ribbed Real Heel Socks
At first glance, these closely resemble the Sneaky Heel socks but there is a significant difference: these have a true heel. It is achieved by a method that I invented or at least as far as I know I did so. I’ve never seen them anywhere else. This gives simple socks a much more sophisticated and exact fit but still requires no shaping or short rowing. Sizes newborn size 1 to men’s 16 in US shoe sizes. Use a #2-3 yarn that gets a gauge gauge of 6 stitches/8 rows/inch or a #4 yarn that may be knitted to a gauge of 5 stitches/7 rows/inch. Any mid-gauge or bulky machine may be able to get both gauges. On my KX350, the smaller gauge is achieved at stitch size 2.5, the larger gauge at stitch size 5. On a bulky, try stitch sizes 1 and 3 for the smaller and larger gauges. On a Bond, try keyplates 1 and 2 for the smaller and larger gauges. If you cannot match both stitch and row gauge, match stitch gauge. We can adjust length for your actual row gauge.
