Ribbed Tea Cosy
I used 2 strands of leftover chenille baby blanket yarn to work up this pattern, but any single strand or combination of yarns to achieve the desired gauge of 10 stitches to 4 inches (horizontal) will work. It’s designed to fit The Tea Spot’s 34 oz Satin Teapot. This teapot shape is very classic. I love its squash shape - it evokes simplicity and elegance. The pattern is simple as well, so as to not detract from the design of the teapot. The variations and highlights will come from your choice of fiber(s) and button(s) for the project.

Last row: Bind off 3 sts, leaving a long enough tail to chain 8 stitches with a crochet hook. Attach end of chain so as to create a loop at the bottom at opposite end of this tail piece. Secure well and weave in ends.
Finishing:
With wrong sides together, stitch the bottom 1.5 inches and top 1/2 inch of tea cosy together. Attach a button or hook to tea cozy body so that belt is secure but not too taught.
