Ribbed Turtleneck Cowl Poncho
I wrote this Poncho pattern as a “perfect poncho” for myself. It features a ribbed turtleneck that does not stretch out and become too large over time, and a stitch pattern for the body that drapes well. I add fringe to mine because I love all things fringe, but it looks nice without fringe as well. It is convertible in the sense that it can be worn with the points in the front/back of your body, or with the points to the sides/at your arms. I suggest using a thicker worsted weight #5 yarn, more like an Aran weight, like Nicole Stitch Studio Classic. It was originally sold at AC Moore but is now sold at Premier Yarns. It is thicker and fluffier than a lot of worsted weights and works up nice and thick. It comes in a good amount of yardage and is affordable in price. Any heavy worsted weight yarn should still work if gauge is met.
