Ribbon Shawl: Fruit Loops
“Whether you’re hitting the town for your morning coffee or a midnight cocktail, you’ll look fabulous in this Marty Miller design. Start by working the center back in the round and finish by stitching the lacy area back and forth in rows.”
Errata:
There was a mistake in the printed pattern on Row 22. And some Pattern notes that I wrote for the rows were left out. So - I’m copying what I wrote here.
Pattern note:
• When you work in rows, you will be ending each row with (ch 2, dc) instead of (ch 5).
• Move the markers up as you work each row.
Skip 3 ch-5 spaces. Join yarn in next ch-5 sp.
Row 19: Ch 5, sc in next ch-5 sp. Repeat from to next marker. Ch 5, (sc in marked ch-5 sp, ch 5) 2x. Continue in this pattern around, working an increase in each marked ch-5 space. When you reach the 4th space before your marked sc, end the row with a (ch 2, dc) in sp. Turn.
Row 20: Ch 5, sc in next ch-5 sp. Repeat from to next marker. Ch 5, (sc in marked ch-5 sp, ch 5)2x. (sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 5)4x, (sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 5, sc in same ch-5 sp, ch 5) place marker. Repeat from * 2 more times, ending with ch 2, dc in last ch sp. Turn.
Row 21: Ch 5, sc in next ch-5 sp. Repeat from to next marker. Ch 5, (sc in marked ch-5 sp, ch 5)2x. Repeat pattern across, ending ch 2, dc in last ch-5 sp. Turn.
Row 22: Ch 5, sc in first ch sp,(ch 5, sc in next ch-5 sp). Repeat from to next marker. Ch 5, (sc in marked ch-5 sp, ch 5)2x. Repeat from * to next marker. Follow established pattern across, ending ch 5, sc in last ch sp, ch 2, dc in same ch sp. Turn.
Rows 23 – 44: Repeat Rows 21 and 22, 11 more times. End off.
