Yarn Dragonfly Fibers Pixie (100% superwash merino; 475 yd 434 m/4 oz 113 g): springtime in Washington, 2 skeins.

Needles Size 6 (4 mm): 40” circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Removable marker (m); tapestry needle.

Gauge 18 sts and 36 rows = 4” in garter st.

Beginning with a frilled cast-on that creates a picot edge, the Ribbon Tool Shawl is nearly identical on both sides. It is worked top-down in garter stitch and short-rows, then a perpendicular edging is worked along the bottom, with stitches between body and edging joined with decreases.

For help with the shawl edging see my tutorial here.
