Ribbon Winner
The Shire horse is a workhorse, carrying out tasks such as farm work and barge towing, although this knitted horse isn’t quite so heavyweight! Harley the Shire Horse has horseshoes, reigns, a plaited tail, and a collar of rosette awards.
This pattern features chart-free intarsia to make the white flash on the head. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the horse is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). DPNs are used to knit i-cord tubes for the reins and collar.
NEEDLES
A pair each of 3.25mm single pointed knitting needles (US 3).
RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each colour.

Tapestry needle, toy filling, a 3.25mm crochet hook to attach mane and leg hair, ribbon and buttons for the eyes and rosettes.
SIZES
One size only - 29cm tall (seated, with ears pricked up).
