This is a Baby Afghan or Lap Afghan worked in Mosaic Stitch. I thought this was such a pretty stitch and offers lots of possibilities for color combinations. Sample was done in traditional baby colors but think about rainbow, autumn or forest as possible color combos!

Pattern is for one size 26 3/4” X 23 1/2”. It could be enlarged if the knitter wants to.

Needle: US 6 (4.0 mm) 32” circular

Gauge is not super critical because it is a blanket.
Gauge is 24 sts and 52 rows = 4”

Stitch markers between repeats can be very helpful for newer knitters to mosaic work.

Colors: Main color plus 5 contrasting colors. High contrast between the MC and CC’s will make the design pop.

Afghans are great winter projects to work on and make great gifts!
