Ribway Cowl
A snug-fitting, double-thick cowl makes the perfect accessory to combat winter’s sting! The chunky rib pattern works up quickly and easily, making it great for tv knitting or knit night. You don’t need a provisional cast on; the ends are whipstitched and the seam hidden inside the cowl after finishing. Choose your yarn and start knocking these out for yourself and the whole family!
Finished Size: Approximately 6” tall and 25” circumference after seaming. Pattern is easily adjustable for both circumference and height.
Gauge: 20 sts and 26 rnds=4” in rib pattern, knit in the round and blocked. Gauge is not crucial for this project, but a difference in gauge may affect yardage requirements.
Materials: Tapestry needle for seaming and weaving in ends, locking stitch markers.
Sample shown used approximately 200 yds of Life in the Long Grass DK in color Autumn Leaf. The rib pattern will allow any yarn color to shine--solid, tonal or variegate; use whatever you heart desires.
