Ric-rac Fingerless Gloves
by Jade Nice
The pattern for these gloves incorporates the shape of that fabulous ric-rac trim that added a bit of snazziness to the cheesecloth tops and flared trousers of my childhood.
These gloves are a perfect introduction to colour work - using just two colours in a row. The pattern uses only knit and purl stitches – in stocking stitch and a double rib.
Finished Size: To fit a medium-sized adult hand measuring approximately 19 cm round the palm – the finished glove measures approximately 10 cm wide x 20 cm long.
Yarn: 3 x 25g balls of 4 ply yarn will give you enough to make a couple of pairs of gloves. We used Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift - 1 ball each of Peacock (A,) Moorgrass (B) and Mooskit (C).
