Ric-rac Legwarmers
by Jade Nice
The pattern for these legwarmers incorporates the shape of that fabulous ric-rac trim that added a bit of snazziness to cheesecloth tops and flared trousers during my childhood.
This pattern is a perfect introduction to colour work - using just 2 colours in a row. Each legwarmer is made as a simple rectangle, using knit and purl stitches – in stocking stitch and a double rib.
Finished Size: Approximately 14.5 cm wide (29 cm circumference) x 35 cm long.
Yarn: 4 ply Yarn. We used 5 x 25g balls of Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift: 2 balls of Peacock (A) and 1 ball each of Autumn (B), Granny Smith, (C) and Mooskit (D).
