Richard Searle Gansey
This pattern is one of the three patterns available from The Cornish Gansey Company Ebook
The Richard Searle Motif is taken from one of the Cornish Fisherman of the same name whose photo is part of a collection taken by Louis Harding of Polperro in the late 18th century. A fancy ‘Sunday Best’ Gansey more suited to those who are confident knitters.
The booklet is a photo guide with step by step instructions for those new to gansey knitting and takes you through every part from the welt to the faux seam detail, gusset, shoulder straps and more. There are clear instructions about how to alter your sweater if you don’t fit the standard sizes too.
There are 27 different shades of Frangipani yarn to choose from so you don’t have to choose Dark Navy. Do hop over to my website for full details plus a shop full of needles, notions and other books and dvds for gansey lovers at www.thecornishganseycompany.co.uk
