• Magic circle (directions given for alternate method if you don’t know the magic circle)
• fpdc - front post double crochet
• dc - double crochet
• hdc in wrong side loop (makes the brim)
• hdc - half double crochet
• sl st - slip st

You will need:

• 220 yards of bulky weight yarn (I made mine with 160 yrds small size)

• Size 5.0mm crochet hook

• Yarn needle for weaving in ends.

• A head to put the finished item on.

• Pom pom for top of hat if desired
