The half hexagon makes a good shawl for people who don’t like the long point of a traditional triangle shawl. The wide width and shorter height leaves plenty to wrap around the shoulders. The ridged lines emphasize the hexagon shape and break up the eyelet sections.

This shawl is worked in rows from the top of the neck to the bottom. It is an easy to remember 6 row repeat. The simple stitch pattern makes this quick and easy to work up while watching tv. You will need to know how to do front post double crochet.

I used nearly 3 skeins of Baby Bee Sweet Delight yarn in the color “Grape Jelly”. My finished shawl is 63” across the top and 23” tall.
