Ridge Road Cowl
The Ridge Road Cowl is part of a set, with the Ridge Road Hat. They were designed to be beginner-friendly knit accessories, using only a few basic stitches. Knitters will need to know how to cast on, knit in the round, purl, and cast off to complete the cowl; the hat requires knitters to also k2tog. Berroco Ultra Alpaca creates a warm fabric with a lovely halo, but virtually any worsted weight yarn will look nice with this simple pattern. I strongly recommend making the cowl to the depth in the schematic when using a yarn with plenty of drape, such as the Ultra Alpaca, but you could probably make the cowl out of one 100g skein of worsted weight yarn if you choose to substitute a yarn with less drape. The sample used 129g of yarn, so two skeins will make the hat and cowl set with a little yardage to spare.
