With its folded brim and stranded colourwork, the Ridgeway hat will be warm around the ears. The hat is worked from the bottom up, in the round, and is finished off with a small star motif at the crown.

One adult/teen size is given. The hat measures approximately 50cm in circumference, height with brim folded 23cm, full height 28cm.

I used less than 80g of main colour and less than 40g of contrast colour of my homespun yarn, worked to a tension of 26 sts and 27 rounds to 10 x 10cm on 4.5 mm needles for the stranded colourwork.

Any yarn knitted to the same tension would work, e.g. sport weight or DK.
