Worked in Super Bulky yarn, Rifle Peak is swiftly knit and ready to wear in a few short hours. It features a simple half-drop allover cable pattern that results in an interesting, undulating textural pattern that couples well with the many tonal or solid hues available today in these heavier weight yarns.

This pattern has been professionally tech edited and test knit to reduce the potential for error.

NOTE: Accurate gauge is EXTREMELY important for a correct fit when so few stitches are involved. A SMALL variance in gauge can make for a BIG difference in the size of your finished project and whether you run out of yarn before finishing.

CONSTRUCTION

Hat is cast on using the longtail cast-on and then worked in the round.

Pompon utilizes approx 9 yds (8.25 m) of yarn. Pompon yardage is included in yarn requirements listed above.

Hat features an attractive decrease and looks just as lovely without a pompon should you wish to forego this extra embellishment.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Longtail cast-on
  • Knit and purl stitches
  • Cable stitches - 1/1 RC
  • Decrease stitches - K2TOG

INSTRUCTIONS

The pattern is fully charted, but also includes complete written directions so the ability to read a chart is not necessary to work this pattern.

YARN NOTES
