If this pattern had one less stitch, the purl
stitches for each round would fall into line with
each other. They would be “in phase”, as it were.
Instead, they are out of phase and slant up and to
the right. So, they are right, but out of phase.

This is a very, very simple pattern, so I’ve paired it with its opposite version and put it at a very low price.
