Riley Socks
Just a few slipped stitches are needed to change a pattern of single stripes into a pattern with an op-art effect.
These socks are worked cuff down with one colour at a time in single stripes. They are interrupted at regular intervals by squares formed with slipped stitches. The different tension of the squares bends the stripes slightly, creating the desired effect. The heel is integrated so that the heel flap is worked in rounds at the same time as the leg.
