worthy of a first time effort. In Ring around a Rosie, the crocheter repeats each motif only enough times to learn them well, and then can make a truly beautiful accessory for a loved girl in her life.

Experiment with bright colors, classic pastels, tonal shades. Whatever color you feel like today, roses are always classy.

This adorable headband is made in four separate crocheted parts: Irish roses, stamens, small leaves, and a filet crocheted headband base. This headband was designed for a child with an 18” headband length. The length of the headband could be easily shortened or lengthened with individual crocheted elements added or taken off, as needed.

Gauge is not horribly important, as each piece is made individually, and the length of the headband can be easily made to within a quarter of an inch.

Guidelines say to make a headband with elastic 2–3 inches smaller than the head circumference.
0-3 month old/13–15” head circumference = headband 11–12”
3-6 month old/15–17” head circumference = headband 13–14”
6-12 month old/16–19” head circumference = headband 15–17”
Toddler/18–19” head circumference = headband 16–18”
Child/19–20.5” head circumference = headband 17–19”
Teen/20.5–23” head circumference = headband 18–21”
Adult/21–24” head circumference = headband 20–22”
